Composition

Each vaginal suppository contains:

• Policresulen – 90 mg

Indications

• Cervicitis (inflammation of the cervix)

• Vaginitis (nonspecific or infectious)

• Erosion or ulceration of the cervix

• Postpartum or postoperative vaginal wound care

• Vaginal discharge caused by bacterial imbalance

Mechanism of Action

• Policresulen selectively coagulates necrotic or infected tissues while preserving healthy mucosa.

• Promotes healing and regeneration of epithelial tissue.

• Has a strong antiseptic and hemostatic (bleeding control) effect.

Dosage & Administration

• Route: Vaginal

• Adults: Insert one suppository deeply into the vagina once daily at bedtime.

• Duration of treatment: Usually 6–8 days, or as directed by a physician.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to policresulen or any component of the suppository

• Not recommended during menstruation

Precautions

• Avoid sexual intercourse during treatment

• Maintain proper genital hygiene

• Discontinue use if severe irritation or burning occurs

• Use under medical supervision during pregnancy

Side Effects

• Mild burning or irritation after insertion

• Increased vaginal discharge (indicates tissue regeneration)
