Amosar 100 mg (30 Tablets)

Active Ingredient:

• Losartan 100 mg

Therapeutic Class:
Angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) – Antihypertensive

Indications:

• Hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults

• May help reduce cardiovascular risk and protect renal function in selected patients

Dosage:

• Usual adult dose: One tablet once daily, preferably in the morning

• Can be taken with or without food

• Dose adjustments may be required based on blood pressure response, kidney function, and tolerance

Mechanism of Action:

• Blocks angiotensin II type 1 (AT1) receptors, preventing vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion

• Leads to vasodilation and reduced blood pressure

Precautions:

• Contraindicated in:

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding

  • Severe renal impairment

  • Hypersensitivity to losartan

• Use with caution in:

  • Kidney or liver impairment

  • Electrolyte imbalances (especially potassium)

  • Heart failure or volume depletion

• Monitor blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes regularly

Possible Side Effects:

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Fatigue

• Hyperkalemia (high potassium)

• Rare: hypotension, kidney impairment, angioedema

Storage:

• Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture

• Keep out of reach of children
