Active Ingredient:
Dapagliflozin 10 mg

Pharmacological Class:
SGLT2 (Sodium-Glucose Co-Transporter 2) inhibitor

Indication:
Used for the treatment of:

• Type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic drugs.

• Heart failure with reduced ejection fraction.

• Chronic kidney disease to reduce the risk of progression, hospitalization, or cardiovascular death.

Dosage:
The usual recommended dose is 10 mg once daily, taken in the morning, with or without food.
Dose adjustments may be needed if used with other antidiabetic medications.

Administration:

• Take orally once daily at the same time each day.

• Can be taken with or without meals.

• Maintain adequate hydration during treatment.

Precautions:

• Assess renal function before and during treatment.

• Not recommended in patients with severe renal impairment (eGFR <30 mL/min/1.73 m²).

• Monitor for signs of urinary tract infections or genital fungal infections.

• Use with caution in patients prone to dehydration, hypotension, or ketoacidosis.

Possible Side Effects:
Urinary tract infections, genital yeast infections, increased urination, dehydration, low blood pressure, and in rare cases, diabetic ketoacidosis.
