Indications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • \n

    Treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Management of chronic heart failure in stable patients (usually as adjunct therapy).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Mechanism of Action:<\/strong>
    Nebivolol selectively blocks beta-1 adrenergic receptors, leading to a decrease in heart rate and cardiac output. It also promotes nitric oxide\u2013mediated vasodilation, which helps lower blood pressure and improve vascular function.<\/p>\n

    Dosage:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • \n

      Usual adult dose: 2.5 mg to 5 mg once daily<\/strong>, depending on the patient’s blood pressure response and clinical condition.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      The orodispersible film should be placed on the tongue and allowed to dissolve without water.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Can be taken with or without food.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Precautions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • \n

        Use cautiously in patients with bradycardia, heart block, severe liver impairment, or heart failure.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Do not stop therapy abruptly; dose reduction should be gradual.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Monitor blood pressure and heart rate regularly.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Contraindicated in severe bradycardia, cardiogenic shock, or uncontrolled heart failure.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
