Indications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Essential hypertension (high blood pressure)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Stable coronary artery disease (angina prevention and control)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Used when treatment with both agents (ACE inhibitor + calcium channel blocker) is appropriate<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Mechanism of Action:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • \n

      Perindopril:<\/strong> Inhibits ACE enzyme, reducing angiotensin II and aldosterone production \u2192 causes vasodilation and decreases blood pressure.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Amlodipine:<\/strong> Blocks calcium influx into vascular smooth muscle \u2192 relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Combined effect lowers blood pressure and improves cardiac oxygen delivery.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Precautions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        Monitor blood pressure, renal function, and potassium levels<\/strong> regularly.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Use cautiously in patients with renal impairment, heart failure, or liver disease<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
