Sarcozide 16\/12.5 mg (20 Tablets)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Active Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • \n

    Candesartan cilexetil 16 mg (Angiotensin II receptor blocker \u2013 ARB)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg (Thiazide diuretic)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Therapeutic Class:<\/strong>
    Antihypertensive combination (ARB + Thiazide diuretic)<\/p>\n

    Indications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • \n

      Treatment of essential hypertension in adults whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by candesartan or hydrochlorothiazide alone.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Helps reduce blood pressure by:<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. \n

        Relaxing and widening blood vessels (Candesartan).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      2. \n

        Promoting mild diuresis and reducing fluid retention (Hydrochlorothiazide).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Dosage:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • \n

          Usual dose: one tablet once daily.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          May be taken with or without food.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Best taken in the morning to minimize nighttime urination.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Dose adjustment should be made based on blood pressure response and tolerance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Precautions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          • \n

            Contraindicated during pregnancy and in patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment, anuria, or hypersensitivity to sulfonamides.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          • \n

            Use with caution in patients with renal impairment, electrolyte imbalances, or dehydration.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          • \n

            Monitor blood pressure, renal function, and serum electrolytes (especially potassium, sodium, and creatinine).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          • \n

            Avoid use with potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics unless prescribed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          • \n

            Increased sensitivity to sunlight may occur; skin protection is advised.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Possible Side Effects:<\/strong><\/p>\n

              Dizziness or lightheadedness<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            • \n

              Headache or fatigue<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            • \n

              Hypotension (low blood pressure)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

              Increased urination<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            • \n

              Electrolyte disturbances (low sodium, low potassium, or low magnesium)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            • \n

              Rare: gout flare-up, rash, or kidney function changes<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Storage:<\/strong>
