    Felodipine 5 mg<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Therapeutic Class:<\/strong>
    Calcium channel blocker \u2013 Dihydropyridine<\/p>\n

    Indications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • \n

      Hypertension (high blood pressure)<\/strong> in adults<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      May be used for angina pectoris<\/strong> (chest pain) in some patients<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Dosage:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • \n

        Usual adult dose:<\/strong> One tablet once daily, preferably in the morning.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Can be taken with or without food<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Dose adjustments may be needed based on blood pressure response<\/strong> and tolerance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Mechanism of Action:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          Blocks calcium channels in vascular smooth muscle, causing vasodilation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Reduces peripheral resistance<\/strong>, lowers blood pressure, and decreases cardiac workload.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Hypersensitivity to felodipine<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

              Severe hypotension<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

              Use with caution in:<\/p>\n

                Heart failure<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                Liver impairment<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                Patients on other antihypertensives<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

                Monitor blood pressure<\/strong> regularly.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
