    Amlodipine 10 mg<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Therapeutic Class:<\/strong>
    Calcium channel blocker (CCB) \u2013 Antihypertensive and antianginal<\/p>\n

    Indications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Hypertension (high blood pressure)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Chronic stable angina<\/strong> (chest pain caused by reduced oxygen supply to the heart)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Vasospastic (Prinzmetal\u2019s) angina<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Dosage:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • \n

        Usual adult dose:<\/strong> One tablet once daily<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Can be taken with or without food<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Take at the same time every day for consistent blood pressure control<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Mechanism of Action:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          Blocks calcium influx into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Promotes vasodilation<\/strong>, decreasing peripheral vascular resistance and blood pressure<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Reduces cardiac workload<\/strong> and improves oxygen delivery to heart muscle<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Precautions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

            Contraindicated in:<\/p>\n

              Severe hypotension<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
