Ateno 100 mg (20 Tablets)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Active Ingredient:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Atenolol 100 mg<\/strong> \u2013 Beta-1 selective adrenergic blocker<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Therapeutic Class:<\/strong>
    Beta-blocker \u2013 Antihypertensive and antianginal agent<\/p>\n

    Indications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • \n

      Hypertension (high blood pressure)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Angina pectoris<\/strong> (chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Arrhythmias<\/strong> (irregular heartbeats)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Post-myocardial infarction management<\/strong> (to reduce risk of further cardiac events)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Dosage:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        Usual adult dose:<\/strong> One tablet (100 mg) once daily<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        May be taken with or without food<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Dose adjustment should be based on clinical response and tolerance<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        Should not be discontinued abruptly; reduce gradually under medical supervision<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Mechanism of Action:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          Atenolol selectively blocks beta-1 adrenergic receptors in the heart<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          Reduces heart rate, cardiac output, and myocardial oxygen demand<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          Lowers blood pressure and helps prevent angina attacks<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Severe bradycardia<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

              Heart block greater than first degree<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

              Untreated heart failure<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

              Hypersensitivity to atenolol or other beta-blockers<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

                Diabetic patients (may mask symptoms of hypoglycemia)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
