    Mechanism of Action:<\/strong>
    Nitazoxanide interferes with the pyruvate:ferredoxin oxidoreductase (PFOR) enzyme-dependent electron transfer reaction<\/strong>, which is essential for anaerobic metabolism in protozoa and some bacteria, leading to inhibition of their energy production and death.<\/p>\n

    Dosage:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Children (1\u20133 years):<\/strong> 5 ml (100 mg) every 12 hours for 3 days<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Children (4\u201311 years):<\/strong> 10 ml (200 mg) every 12 hours for 3 days<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Adults and adolescents (\u226512 years):<\/strong> 25 ml (500 mg) every 12 hours for 3 days<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Shake well before use and administer with food to enhance absorption.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Precautions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Not recommended for infants under 1 year<\/strong> without physician supervision.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
