Medication Name: Rybelsus 3mg 10 Tablets

Active Ingredient:
Semaglutide 3 mg

Pharmacological Class:
GLP-1 receptor agonist (antidiabetic agent)

Indication:
Used in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control as an adjunct to diet and exercise. It is the starting dose in the Rybelsus titration regimen.

Dosage:
One tablet (3 mg) taken once daily for the first 30 days of treatment. After 30 days, the dose is typically increased to 7 mg once daily.

Administration:

• Take orally once daily on an empty stomach with up to 120 ml of plain water.

• Wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking, or taking any other oral medications.

Precautions:

• Not for use in patients with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.

• Use caution in patients with a history of pancreatitis, thyroid tumors, or severe gastrointestinal disorders.

• Monitor blood glucose and kidney function regularly.

Possible Side Effects:
Nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, constipation, diarrhea, reduced appetite, and mild hypoglycemia (especially if combined with other antidiabetic agents).
