Composition

Each rectal suppository contains:

• Phenylephrine HCl – vasoconstrictor to relieve nasal congestion

• Paracetamol – analgesic and antipyretic

Indications

Used for:

• Relief of nasal congestion associated with colds or flu

• Reduction of mild pain and fever

Mechanism of Action

• Phenylephrine: constricts blood vessels in nasal passages, reducing swelling and congestion

• Paracetamol: inhibits prostaglandin synthesis in the CNS to reduce pain and fever

Dosage & Administration

• Adults & children (as directed by a physician): 1 suppository rectally 2–3 times daily as needed

• Do not exceed the recommended daily dose

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to phenylephrine, paracetamol, or any excipients

• Severe hypertension or cardiovascular disorders

• Severe liver disease

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, or hyperthyroidism

• Avoid combination with other products containing paracetamol

• Do not use for more than 5–7 days without medical advice

Side Effects

• Rare: insomnia, palpitations, dizziness, nausea

• Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling)

• Store below 25°C in a dry place

• Keep out of reach of children
