Medication Name: Dapablix 10mg 30 Tablets

Active Ingredient:
Dapagliflozin 10 mg

Pharmacological Class:
SGLT2 (Sodium-Glucose Co-Transporter 2) inhibitor

Indication:

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control, either alone or in combination with other antidiabetic agents.

• Reduction of cardiovascular risk in adults with type 2 diabetes and established cardiovascular disease.

• Treatment of chronic heart failure.

Dosage:
One tablet once daily, preferably in the morning, with or without food.
Dose adjustments may be necessary based on renal function and blood glucose response.

Administration:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.

• Maintain adequate fluid intake during treatment.

Precautions:

• Evaluate renal function before starting and periodically during therapy.

• Avoid use in severe renal impairment or end-stage renal disease.

• Use caution in patients at risk of hypotension, dehydration, or urinary/genital infections.

• Temporarily discontinue during acute illness, major surgery, or reduced oral intake.

Possible Side Effects:
Increased urination, urinary tract infections, genital fungal infections, dehydration, thirst, dizziness, hypotension, and rarely diabetic ketoacidosis.
