Concor Amlo 5\5mg 30 Tablets

Indications:

• Hypertension (high blood pressure)

• Chronic stable angina pectoris

• Chronic heart failure (in combination with other medications)

Mechanism of Action:
Bisoprolol selectively blocks β₁-adrenergic receptors in the heart, leading to:

• Decreased heart rate and contractility

• Reduced cardiac output and oxygen demand

• Lowered blood pressure through suppression of renin release

Dosage:

• Typical starting dose: 5 mg once daily

• Maintenance dose: 5–10 mg once daily, based on response

• Maximum dose: 20 mg once daily

• Taken preferably in the morning with or without food

Precautions:

• Use cautiously in patients with bradycardia, heart block, severe heart failure, asthma, COPD, diabetes, or thyroid disorders.

• Do not discontinue abruptly; taper dose gradually to avoid rebound effects.

• Monitor blood pressure, heart rate, and ECG regularly.

• Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment.

Common Side Effects:

• Fatigue or dizziness

• Slow heart rate (bradycardia)

• Cold hands and feet

• Hypotension

• Headache

• Sleep disturbances or vivid dreams

• Nausea or gastrointestinal discomfort
