Chartoreg Plus 80/12.5 mg (28 Tablets)

Active Ingredients:

• Valsartan 80 mg (Angiotensin II receptor blocker)

• Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg (Thiazide diuretic)

Therapeutic Class:
Antihypertensive combination (ARB + Thiazide diuretic)

Indications:

• Treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults when monotherapy with valsartan alone is insufficient

• Helps control blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels and promoting mild diuresis (elimination of excess fluid)

Dosage:
One tablet once daily, with or without food.
Preferably taken in the morning to avoid nighttime urination.
Dose adjustments should be made under medical supervision according to clinical response.

Precautions:

• Contraindicated in pregnancy and severe liver impairment.

• Use cautiously in renal impairment, electrolyte disturbances, or gout.

• Monitor blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes (especially potassium and sodium) regularly.

• Avoid combining with potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics unless prescribed.

• May increase sensitivity to sunlight; protect skin when outdoors.

Possible Side Effects:

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Increased urination

• Fatigue or weakness

• Mild dehydration or low blood pressure

• Electrolyte imbalance (low potassium, sodium, or magnesium)

• Rarely: skin rash or gout attacks
