Composition

Each gram of cream contains:

• Betamethasone dipropionate 0.05% – corticosteroid (anti-inflammatory)

• Clotrimazole 1% – antifungal agent

• Gentamicin sulfate 0.1% – antibacterial agent

Indications

Used for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions associated with bacterial or fungal infections, including:

• Eczema

• Dermatitis

• Psoriasis with secondary infection

• Tinea infections (athlete’s foot, jock itch, ringworm)

Mechanism of Action

• Betamethasone reduces redness, itching, and swelling.

• Clotrimazole inhibits fungal cell membrane synthesis.

• Gentamicin kills bacteria by inhibiting protein synthesis.

Dosage & Administration

• Apply a thin layer to the affected area twice daily (morning and evening).

• Rub in gently until fully absorbed.

• Duration of use should generally not exceed 2 weeks unless directed by a physician.

• For external use only.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to any component.

• Viral skin infections (e.g., herpes, chickenpox).

• Tuberculous or syphilitic skin lesions.

Precautions

• Avoid use on face, groin, or underarms unless prescribed.

• Prolonged use may cause skin thinning or systemic absorption.

• Not recommended for children without medical supervision.

Possible Side Effects

• Burning or irritation at the application site

• Skin dryness or itching

• Folliculitis or acneiform eruptions (with long-term use)

• Hypopigmentation or stretch marks (rare)
