Description:
Monuril contains a single-dose formulation of an antibiotic used to treat uncomplicated urinary tract infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, effectively clearing bacterial infections in the urinary tract.

Active Ingredient (per sachet):

• Fosfomycin trometamol 3 g

Indications:

• Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) in women

• Acute cystitis caused by susceptible bacteria

Dosage and Administration:

• Dissolve the entire contents of 1 sachet in a glass of water and drink immediately

• Single-dose treatment is usually sufficient for uncomplicated infections

• Take on an empty stomach or as directed by a physician

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to fosfomycin or any other component of the formulation

• Use with caution in patients with severe renal impairment

Precautions:

• Ensure proper hydration to facilitate antibiotic excretion

• May alter urine glucose tests or other laboratory results temporarily
