Medication Name: Jardiance 25mg 30 Tablets

Active Ingredient:
Empagliflozin 25 mg

Pharmacological Class:
SGLT2 (Sodium-Glucose Co-Transporter 2) inhibitor

Indication:

Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control in adults.
Reduction of cardiovascular death risk in adults with type 2 diabetes and established cardiovascular disease.
Treatment of heart failure with reduced or preserved ejection fraction.

Dosage:
One tablet once daily, usually taken in the morning with or without food.

Administration:

Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Maintain adequate hydration during therapy.

Precautions:

Assess renal function before starting and monitor periodically.
Avoid in patients with severe renal impairment or undergoing dialysis.
Use cautiously in elderly patients or those at risk of dehydration, hypotension, or urinary/genital infections.
Temporarily discontinue during acute illness, surgery, or reduced oral intake.

Possible Side Effects:
Increased urination, genital fungal infections, urinary tract infections, dehydration, thirst, dizziness, hypotension, and rarely diabetic ketoacidosis.
