Chartoreg Plus 40/12.5 mg (28 Tablets)

Active Ingredients:

• Valsartan 40 mg (Angiotensin II receptor blocker)

• Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg (Thiazide diuretic)

Therapeutic Class:
Antihypertensive combination (ARB + Thiazide diuretic)

Indications:

• Management of essential hypertension in adults when monotherapy with valsartan is inadequate.

• Lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels and reducing fluid retention through mild diuresis.

Dosage:
One tablet once daily, with or without food.
Ideally taken in the morning to reduce nighttime urination.
Dosage may be adjusted by the physician based on blood pressure response.

Precautions:

• Contraindicated during pregnancy and in patients with severe hepatic impairment.

• Caution in patients with renal impairment, electrolyte imbalance, or gout.

• Regular monitoring of blood pressure, renal function, and serum electrolytes (especially potassium and sodium) is recommended.

• Avoid use with potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics unless prescribed.

• May increase photosensitivity; protect skin from excessive sunlight.

Possible Side Effects:

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Headache

• Fatigue or weakness

• Increased urination

• Low blood pressure (hypotension)

• Electrolyte disturbances (low potassium, sodium, or magnesium)

• Rare: rash, gout flare-ups

Store below 25°C, in a dry place, away from heat, humidity, and direct sunlight.
