Eraloner 25 mg (20 Tablets)

Active Ingredient:

• Eplerenone 25 mg

Therapeutic Class:
Potassium-sparing diuretic – Aldosterone receptor antagonist

Indications:

• Heart failure with reduced ejection fraction, particularly after myocardial infarction

• Hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults

• May be used to reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in selected patients

Dosage:

• Usual adult dose: 25 mg once daily, as directed by the physician

• Can be taken with or without food

• Dose adjustments may be necessary based on renal function, potassium levels, and clinical response

Mechanism of Action:

• Blocks aldosterone receptors in the distal renal tubules

• Promotes sodium and water excretion while retaining potassium

• Reduces blood pressure and cardiac remodeling in heart failure patients

Precautions:

• Contraindicated in:

  • Hyperkalemia (high potassium levels)

  • Severe renal impairment

  • Addison’s disease

  • Hypersensitivity to eplerenone

• Use with caution in:

  • Mild to moderate renal impairment

  • Patients on other potassium-sparing drugs, ACE inhibitors, or ARBs

  • Diabetes or liver impairment

• Monitor serum potassium, kidney function, and blood pressure regularly

Possible Side Effects:

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Hyperkalemia (high potassium)

• Fatigue

• Gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea, diarrhea)

• Rare: hypotension, kidney impairment, or allergic reactions

Storage:

• Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from light and moisture

• Keep out of reach of children
