Medication Name: Glimet Fort 5/800mg 30 Tablets

Active Ingredients:

• Glimepiride 5 mg

• Metformin Hydrochloride 800 mg

Pharmacological Class:
Combination of sulfonylurea (glimepiride) and biguanide (metformin) antidiabetic agents

Indication:
Used in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control when treatment with both glimepiride and metformin is appropriate, as an adjunct to diet and exercise.

Dosage:
One tablet once or twice daily, as prescribed by the physician.
Dose adjustments may be required based on blood glucose levels, renal function, and therapeutic response.

Administration:

• Take orally with meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects from metformin.

• Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew.

• Maintain adequate hydration during treatment.

Precautions:

• Monitor blood glucose regularly to prevent hypoglycemia.
