Zisrocin 100 mg/5 ml Suspension (Azithromycin)

Active Ingredient:
Azithromycin 100 mg per 5 ml

Pharmacological Class:
Macrolide antibiotic

Indications:
Used to treat bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, including:

• Upper respiratory tract infections (tonsillitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis)

• Lower respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia)

• Otitis media (middle ear infection)

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Some genital infections caused by Chlamydia trachomatis

Dosage (for children):

• Standard regimen: 10 mg/kg once daily for 3 days

• Shake well before each dose

• Use the provided measuring syringe or spoon for accurate dosing

Administration:

• Take on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after food)

• Shake well before use

Precautions:

• Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to azithromycin or other macrolides

• Use cautiously in patients with hepatic impairment

• Separate doses by at least 2 hours from antacids containing aluminum or magnesium

Possible Side Effects:

• Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, or diarrhea

• Headache or dizziness

• Skin rash (discontinue if severe)

Storage:

• Store below 25°C

• After reconstitution, store in the refrigerator and use within 5 days
